Thanks for joining me!
Good company in a journey makes the way seem shorter. — Izaak Walton
I enjoy that the above has just been put there by WordPress, the quote makes me sound really thoughtful and reflective. It’s highly likely that I’m neither of these things. I do like waves though, looking at them, making them, so I’m not going to change it.
I suppose as this is my first attempt at writing a blog post I should perhaps go into a bit of detail about me. My background is dance and performing arts, unfortunately I didn’t realise that to complete a dance degree I would need to be able to put essays together…. Not something I can do, but I came out of my 3 years at De Montfort University with a BA in Dance so can’t really complain.
Whilst writing this I paused to undress my 1 year old, Poppy, for the bath. How I didn’t smell the vast amount of cottage pie in her nappy I will never know but it was all over my fingers and then consequently on Florence’s pillow (my 3 year old) as that’s where she ran to whilst I was desperately washing my hands.
It actually amazes me how, before becoming a parent, I struggled to empty the bin without gagging, I seriously wonder what it would take to make me gag now.
So, where was I? Erm… Lots of normal generic life stuff, went on Total Wipeout, married a great guy, popped out a sprog, had a brain hemorrhage, popped out another sprog and here I am.
Anyway, hope you will join me going forward with my journey and thanks for reading 😘 (oh, and no, I have absolutely no idea how to use commas)
